Terms of Use

GoodEats is made by Kearny Holdings LLC ("we"). These terms cover the GoodEats app, your account and our website.

The app

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it. Where the two disagree, Apple's agreement applies to the app.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings › Account.

The subscription

• The GoodEats subscription is an auto-renewing yearly subscription, bought and billed through Apple. The price is the one shown in the app before you buy.
• It renews at the end of each year unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. You manage and cancel it in your Apple account settings, or from the app's Settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
• When a subscription ends, your log stays yours and stays on your device. Export still works. Features the subscription provides, such as sync, custom lists and sharing, stop until you subscribe again.

Your content

What you put in GoodEats, your log, notes, ratings, photos and lists, belongs to you. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only to run GoodEats for you: to sync it between your devices and to show a shared list to the people you share it with, with what you chose to show. We don't use it for anything else. When you delete it, the permission ends, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sharing

When you share a list, you are responsible for what it shows. Don't share content you don't have the right to share, and don't use a shared list to harass anyone, to infringe anyone's rights, or for anything unlawful. We may turn off a list's links if it is used that way.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse GoodEats. That includes trying to get around its security, reaching data that isn't yours, scraping or copying our place data, or overloading the service.

Place information

Restaurant names, addresses and other place details come from open map data, mainly Overture Maps, and may be out of date or wrong. Check before you go. Your own ratings and notes are yours, and we don't add anyone else's.

Changes and ending

We may change GoodEats, and we may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using GoodEats at any time and export your data first.

No warranty

GoodEats is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live.
